If you have some time on your hands and want to line-by-line debug/modify/enhance a set of scripts that were originally written for Oracle 7, then buy this book. Otherwise, take a pass.
There are a few useful scripts but I have to work more than I should to make them all work in an NT environemnt. The best two scripts 'alertlog' and 'every5' were written for Unix and I cannot use them as is w/o MUCH conversion.
The title of this book should be "Oracle Scripts for System & DB Administrators on Unix". If you're running Oracle on anything else skip this book!
